Lyon-based Rtone has been acquired by (major) European player House of HR and flies under the Belgian flag
House of HR acquires the French company ABMI, specialising in consulting and engineering services. Previously majority owned by Omnes Capital, the ABMI – Rtone grouping opens up a new international growth dynamic with House of HR.
After joining ABMI at the end of 2020, and after the acquisition of StartAndFab in 2021, it is a new stage of development that is now taking place for Rtone. With House of HR, Rtone joins a group with an international dimension and an entity of multi-specialists in engineering.
Through this acquisition, ABMI and Rtone now form a close partnership with Abylsen, the French engineering group specialising in services for the Industry, Digital and Life Sciences sectors, which has been integrated into House of HR since 2015.
Each entity retains and develops its brands, its specificities, its teams and management committees: ABMI and Abylsen as multi-specialist engineering companies and Rtone as a product development expert.
With 16 acquisitions in 2022 alone, House of HR is realising its ambition to grow even further in the field of specialised and niche recruitment and digital solutions.
Rika Coppens, CEO says: “Given House of HR’s degree of specialisation and our focus on rare profiles with high demand, we can maintain our growth ambition.”
Behind House of HR is a real culture of people. The group brings together expertise around people with recruitment, service and engineering.
In this ecosystem, the trio of Abylsen, ABMI and Rtone form a new powerhouse. The new holding company, ABY Engineering, will be led by Florian Massaux as CEO and Vincent Coent as Managing Director. Both will remain in their positions as CEOs of Abylsen and ABMI respectively.
This combination brings Rtone closer to its goal of becoming the European leader in the design and development of intelligent products and solutions.
Adrien Desportes, Managing Director of Rtone said: “Integrating House of HR is an opportunity for us to accelerate our organic growth, but also to boost our plan to acquire key companies, in France and beyond, with the ambition of increasing our turnover fivefold, to reach €45 million by 2027.
House of HR is one of Europe’s leading HR solutions providers. Headquartered in Roeselare (Belgium), the group provides specialised and niche staffing primarily to small and medium-sized companies through its two segments, Engineering & Consulting and Specialised Talent Solutions, each of which consists of several PowerHouses that use different brands to promote their specialised HR solutions offering.
In 2021, House of HR had pro forma adjusted revenues of €2.2 billion. The group has approximately 5,100 employees in over 700 offices across Europe. Bain Capital Private Equity has become the majority shareholder of the group, with a 55% stake.
