LUDOCARE – JOE
THE COMPANION ROBOT FOR ASTHMATIC CHILDREN

A connected companion for sick children
Rtone has supported the teams of Ludocare, a Lyon-based start-up, in the design of JOE, a fun connected companion to help asthmatic children become independent in taking their treatment.
Connected via Wifi, this device reminds them each day of their medication and the right actions to take to ensure the effectiveness of their treatment. When the children respect their treatment, the Joe robot rewards them in a playful way with a game. The more diligent the children are, the more rewards they receive. This allows the children to be autonomous and to respect their asthma treatment.
The idea came from the observation that there is a big gap between the prescription and the actual taking of the medication. All parents have to do is enter the contents of the prescription into the associated application via their smartphone and the companion is functional.
“Joe” is customizable and available by subscription. It won the grand jury prize at the first respiratory disease hackathon in Paris in September 2016.
Clinical trials will be launched during this year 2018 for an expected commercialization in 2019.
CONNECT’INH
CONNECTED INHALER FOR THE COMPANY KAP CODE

The connected inhaler
Rtone has developed for the company Kap Code, Connect’inh, the first community solution dedicated to asthma. The solution consists of a connected box, universal and adaptable to any type of inhaler, and an intuitive application giving them access to relevant data and simplified monitoring.
Connected in BLE, Connect’inh allows data to be synchronized on the associated application. The device provides asthmatics with real-time information on air quality (pollution and pollen levels), monitoring statistics and asthma management, making this application the first community space entirely dedicated to asthma. They can thus warn of the Respiratory Discomfort Zones they encounter on their journey and inform the whole community, enabling them to avoid attacks.
INTUBATION SIMULATOR
NEONATAL INTUBATION STIMULATOR FOR EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS

Train emergency doctors
Rtone has developed a simulator to train emergency physicians in intubation techniques for newborns. The dummy communicates information from sensors by Wifi to a tablet.
Rtone has created a custom electronic board to simulate the gesture of intubation and has completed with the creation of a real hardware and software platform for monitoring to improve the gestures of medical staff.
MY ANGEL – DATI
ALERT BOX FOR ISOLATED WORKERS

Connectivity to protect lone workers
Rtone has designed the DATI (alert device for isolated workers) imagined by the start-up MyAngel.
Equipped with a GPS beacon, a SIM card with 4G communication and embedding Sigfox technology to cover GSM white zones, this device allows lone workers to alert MyAngel security teams in case of emergency.
It is the first box embedding a solution developed by Rtone that combines different protocols to determine a position in the most accurate and low-power possible. The alert box system provides optimal 24-hour protection.
In November 2017, it received the innovation award at the Préventica show in the Dati category.
